prochoice
Favors reproductive autonomy
Prochoice describes the position that women should have the legal right to choose whether to terminate a pregnancy.
The term emerged in the 1970s as the affirmative counterpart to prolife in the abortion debate: prochoice activists, a prochoice candidate.
Also spelled pro-choice.
