press studs

Click-together clothing closures

Press studs are small fasteners consisting of two interlocking discs—one with a protruding knob, the other with a socket that grips it when pressed together.

They're used on clothing, bags, and upholstery where buttons or zippers would be inconvenient: The baby's onesie has press studs for easy diaper changes.

Called snaps in American English.
