placket
Shirt button slit
A placket is an opening in a garment that allows it to be put on or taken off easily—typically the slit at the neck of a shirt or blouse, or the opening concealed by a row of buttons or a zipper.
The term also refers to the flap of fabric that covers such an opening: The buttons run down the placket.
