unreasonable
Not making sense
Unreasonable describes what goes beyond the bounds of reason or fairness.
An unreasonable request asks too much; an unreasonable person won't listen to logic or compromise.
Unreasonable can also mean excessive: unreasonable prices, unreasonable delays.
The word often appears in legal contexts, where "unreasonable" conduct fails to meet the standard a rational person would follow.
