pasteup
Pre-digital page layout
Pasteup is a layout assembled by pasting text and images onto a board, used as camera-ready copy for printing.
Before desktop publishing, graphic designers created pasteups by hand, positioning typeset galleys and artwork with wax or rubber cement: The art department spent hours on the pasteup for the magazine spread.
Also spelled paste-up.
