panpipe

Graduated tube instrument

A panpipe is a wind instrument made of tubes of graduated length bound together, played by blowing across the open tops.

The tubes produce different pitches according to their length.

Often called panpipes in the plural, the instrument appears in folk music traditions worldwide: the haunting sound of Andean panpipes.
