quena
Notched wooden pipe
A quena is a traditional Andean flute, end-blown with a notched mouthpiece and typically made from bamboo or cane.
It has a breathy, plaintive sound central to Peruvian and Bolivian folk music: The quena's melody drifted across the mountain village.
