offcuts

Trimmed material remnants

Offcuts are pieces of material left over after cutting something to size—scraps of fabric, wood, or meat trimmed away from the main piece.

In British English especially, butchers sell offcuts cheaply: She bought offcuts for the dog.

The term extends to any leftover fragments: offcuts of leather, offcuts from the timber yard.
