mousing
Feline rodent pursuit
Mousing is what a cat does when hunting mice—prowling, stalking, pouncing.
A good mousing cat keeps barns and kitchens free of rodents.
The term extends to any similar searching or rummaging behavior.
In computing, mousing refers to using a computer mouse: All that mousing gave me wrist pain.
