carpal tunnel
Hand nerve channel
Carpal tunnel is the narrow passageway of bone and ligament on the palm side of the wrist through which tendons and a major nerve pass.
In common usage, carpal tunnel almost always refers to carpal tunnel syndrome—pain, numbness, and tingling in the hand caused by compression of this nerve, often from repetitive motions like typing: I developed carpal tunnel from too much keyboard work.
