mass reporting
Organized complaint campaign
Mass reporting is the coordinated effort by multiple users to report a social media account or piece of content, typically to trigger automatic removal or suspension.
The tactic exploits platform moderation systems that flag or act on items receiving numerous complaints.
It's used both legitimately against harmful content and abusively to silence opponents: The account was taken down after a mass reporting campaign by trolls.
