online petitions
Clickable signature drives
Online petitions are digital documents that collect signatures in support of a cause, typically hosted on platforms like Change.org.
They allow anyone to rally support for issues ranging from local concerns to international campaigns: The online petition to save the library gathered ten thousand signatures.
Their actual influence varies widely—some spark real change, others serve mainly to let signers feel they've done something.
