malposition
Incorrectly situated anatomically
Malposition is abnormal or faulty positioning, especially of a body part or fetus.
In medicine, a malpositioned fetus may complicate delivery: The ultrasound revealed a malposition that might require intervention.
The term also applies to teeth that have grown in crooked or organs that have shifted from their proper location.
