loge

Private theater seating

A loge is a small private section of seating in a theater or opera house, typically a box with its own entrance, elevated above the main floor and offering a partial enclosure for privacy.

The term extends to premium seating areas in stadiums and arenas: We watched the game from the loge level.

In French, the word simply means box or booth.
