bleacher seats
Outdoor tiered seating
Bleacher seats are the cheap, uncovered bench seating in a stadium or arena, typically rising in tiers behind the outfield or at the ends of a court.
The term comes from how sun exposure bleaches the wooden planks.
Bleacher seats offer less comfort but often more raucous atmosphere: We sat in the bleachers and heckled the opposing pitcher.
