orchestra seats
Main floor tickets
Orchestra seats are the main floor seating in a theater, closest to the stage.
The term comes from the area where musicians traditionally sat in ancient Greek theaters.
These are typically the most expensive and desirable seats in the house: We splurged on orchestra seats for the Broadway show.
Also called the orchestra section or simply the orchestra.
