lindy hop

Harlem swing dance

Lindy hop is a swing dance that originated in Harlem in the late 1920s, characterized by energetic footwork, improvisation, and acrobatic aerial moves performed with a partner.

The dance emerged alongside jazz music and remains popular in swing revival communities: We're taking lindy hop lessons on Tuesday nights.

Also written as lindy-hop or Lindy Hop.
