Benny Goodman
Benny Goodman (1909–1986) was an American jazz clarinetist and bandleader known as the "King of Swing." His 1938 Carnegie Hall concert brought jazz to mainstream audiences and helped break racial barriers by featuring Black musicians in his integrated bands.
The name evokes the swing era and big band jazz: My grandfather danced to Benny Goodman in the forties.
