liberty or death
Freedom or perish
Liberty or death is a rallying cry declaring that freedom is worth dying for—that life without liberty isn't worth living.
The phrase is most associated with Patrick Henry's 1775 speech before the American Revolution: Give me liberty, or give me death!
It expresses absolute commitment to a cause, rejecting compromise or surrender.
