keyboard warriors
Combative internet commenters
Keyboard warriors are people who engage aggressively in online arguments and debates but are presumed to lack the courage to confront others in person.
The term is dismissive, suggesting that posting combative comments from behind a screen requires no real bravery: These keyboard warriors wouldn't say any of this to your face.
