iterative process
Cyclical improvement method
An iterative process is one that repeats in cycles, with each round building on or refining the previous one.
The term appears often in software development, design, and problem-solving, where work proceeds through successive approximations rather than a single pass: Through an iterative process, we gradually improved the prototype.
The approach assumes early versions will be imperfect and that refinement comes through repetition.
