inclinometers

Angle measuring devices

Inclinometers are instruments that measure angles of slope, tilt, or inclination relative to gravity.

They're used in surveying, construction, and geology to determine how much a surface deviates from level or vertical: The inclinometer showed the hillside had shifted three degrees.

Also called clinometers or tilt meters.
