immunisation
Disease prevention shots
Immunisation is the British spelling of immunization—the process of making someone immune to a disease, typically through vaccination.
The term covers both the medical procedure and public health programmes: childhood immunisation, the immunisation schedule.
To immunise is to administer vaccines or otherwise confer immunity.
