hydrofoiling

Flying above water

Hydrofoiling is the activity of riding a watercraft equipped with underwater wings (hydrofoils) that lift the hull above the surface at speed.

The foils reduce drag, allowing boats, surfboards, and other craft to glide smoothly above the water: She's been hydrofoiling every weekend since she got the board.

The sport has gained popularity with electric foil boards that let riders cruise without waves or wind.
