Hillclimbs are motorsport events where vehicles race individually up a steep incline, timed against the clock rather than competing directly against other drivers.
The courses are typically narrow roads winding up hills or mountains: The vintage car club hosts hillclimbs every summer.
The term also applies to cycling races up steep grades.
