highliner

Elevated rope walker

A highliner is someone who excels or leads in their field, especially the top-producing fisherman on a boat or in a fleet: The highliner brought in twice the catch of anyone else.

The term comes from commercial fishing, where the high line referred to the most successful vessel.

In slacklining, a highliner walks a line suspended at dangerous heights between cliffs or structures.
