hexadecimal
Sixteen-symbol number system
Hexadecimal is a base-16 numbering system using digits 0–9 and letters A–F to represent values zero through fifteen.
Computers use it as a compact way to express binary data—two hexadecimal digits represent one byte.
Color codes on the web are typically hexadecimal: #FF5733 is a shade of orange.
Often shortened to hex.
