hand cramps
Grip muscle contractions
Hand cramps are painful, involuntary contractions of the muscles in the hand, causing fingers to curl or stiffen.
They often result from overuse, dehydration, or holding a position too long: I got hand cramps from writing for three hours straight.
Writers, musicians, and gamers are particularly prone to them.
