Wooden firearm handle
A gun stock is the wooden or synthetic part of a rifle or shotgun that braces against the shooter's shoulder, providing stability and absorbing recoil.
The stock connects the barrel and action to the human body, allowing aimed fire: He carved a custom walnut stock for his hunting rifle.
