Performers' waiting area
A greenroom is a room in a theater, television studio, or concert venue where performers wait before and after going on stage.
The term extends to similar spaces at talk shows, conferences, or any event with a backstage area: We chatted in the greenroom before the interview.
Despite the name, greenrooms are rarely green.
