cue cards
Handheld script pages
Cue cards are large cards held just off-camera or at the edge of a stage, displaying lines or talking points for a performer to read.
They serve the same purpose as a teleprompter but are lower-tech and portable.
The term extends to any prepared notes someone relies on: She glanced at her cue cards before the interview.
