ragwort
Toxic pasture weed
Ragwort is a weedy plant with ragged leaves and clusters of yellow flowers, common in pastures and roadsides across Europe and North America.
The plant is toxic to livestock, particularly horses and cattle, causing liver damage when consumed in hay or forage.
The farmer spent weeks pulling ragwort from the fields.
