calendula

Orange herbal bloom

Calendula is a plant of the daisy family with bright orange or yellow flowers, commonly called pot marigold.

The flowers have been used for centuries in herbal medicine and skincare for their supposed healing properties: calendula cream, calendula oil.

The petals are edible and sometimes added to salads or used as a saffron substitute for coloring food.
