Hollow crystalline rock
A geode is a hollow rock lined with crystals or mineral matter on the inside.
From the outside, geodes appear ordinary—rough, rounded stones—but when cracked or cut open, they reveal a cavity filled with crystalline formations, typically quartz or amethyst.
We found a geode at the rock shop and split it open to see the purple crystals inside.
