frontstretch
Main track section
The frontstretch is the straight section of a racetrack that passes the main grandstand and finish line, as opposed to the backstretch on the far side.
In oval racing, it's where drivers make their final push toward the checkered flag: He made his move on the frontstretch and won by a nose.
