frog kicks

Breaststroke leg motion

Frog kicks are a swimming movement where the legs bend at the knees, spread apart, then snap together in a motion resembling a frog's propulsion through water.

The technique is fundamental to the breaststroke and used in treading water.

In exercise, frog kicks work the inner thighs and glutes: We did fifty frog kicks at the end of class.
