shoulder turn
Torso rotation movement
A shoulder turn is the rotation of the shoulders during a swing or stroke, fundamental to golf, baseball, and tennis.
Proper shoulder turn generates power by coiling the upper body against the lower: He worked on getting a fuller shoulder turn in his backswing.
The term also appears in ballroom dance, where partners rotate their shoulders to lead or follow movements.
