flying lizard
Airborne scaled creature
A flying lizard is any of several small lizards of Southeast Asia that glide between trees using wing-like membranes stretched over extended ribs.
They don't truly fly but can glide considerable distances—up to about 25 feet—to escape predators or reach new territory.
Also called flying dragon.
