femininization
Becoming more womanly
Femininization is the process of becoming more feminine, or of making something more feminine.
The word applies to biological changes—hormone therapy can cause femininization of the body—and to social or cultural shifts: the femininization of poverty describes how women increasingly make up the majority of those living in poverty.
Also spelled feminization.
