MTF
Transgender transition direction
MTF is an abbreviation with several distinct meanings depending on context.
In transgender communities, it stands for male-to-female, describing a person transitioning from male to female: She's an MTF who began her transition last year.
In photography and optics, MTF means modulation transfer function, a measure of lens sharpness.
In military and logistics contexts, it can mean medical treatment facility.
