e-collar
Remote dog corrector
An e-collar is a device worn around an animal's neck that delivers an electric shock, vibration, or tone as a training stimulus, controlled remotely by the handler: The trainer used an e-collar to correct the dog's barking.
Also called a shock collar.
Separately, e-collar is short for Elizabethan collar—the cone-shaped guard that prevents animals from licking wounds.
