A training lead is a long leash used when teaching a dog to respond to commands at a distance.
Unlike standard leashes of four to six feet, training leads typically extend fifteen to thirty feet, giving the dog room to roam while the handler maintains control: Practice recall with a training lead before letting your dog off-leash.
