meditate

Practice mindful stillness

Meditate means to engage in focused thought or contemplation.

In its older sense, to meditate on something is to think deeply about it: She meditated on her choices.

The more common modern use refers to a mental practice of quieting the mind—through breath awareness, visualization, or mantra—often for relaxation or spiritual development: I meditate for twenty minutes every morning.

To meditate revenge is to plan it deliberately.
