die-ins
Feigned death protests
Die-ins are a form of protest where participants lie down in a public space, simulating death to dramatize loss of life.
The tactic has been used to protest war, gun violence, police killings, and AIDS policy: Activists staged a die-in at the Capitol steps.
The term echoes sit-in and other "-in" protests.
