jubilees
Milestone year commemorations
Jubilees are celebrations marking significant anniversaries, especially 25th (silver), 50th (golden), or 60th (diamond) milestones.
The term often applies to royal anniversaries: The Queen's Diamond Jubilee drew millions.
A jubilee can also be any joyful celebration or, in Jewish and Christian tradition, a year of emancipation and restoration occurring every fifty years.
