cytologic
Pertaining to cells
Cytologic means relating to cytology—the study of cells, their structure, and function.
The term appears most often in medical contexts, particularly cancer screening: cytologic examination of tissue samples, cytologic abnormalities detected in the Pap smear.
A cytologic test analyzes individual cells rather than tissue architecture.
