cranked
Wound the mechanism
Cranked is the past tense of crank—to turn a handle or mechanism: He cranked the old engine until it sputtered to life.
To crank something out is to produce it rapidly, often mechanically: She cranked out three reports before lunch.
To crank up means to increase intensity: Crank up the volume.
In slang, cranked describes someone high on methamphetamine (crank) or, more broadly, wired and agitated.
