connexion

Tie between things

Connexion is a British spelling variant of connection, now largely archaic.

It appears in older texts and occasionally in formal or ecclesiastical contexts: the Methodist Connexion.

Modern British English has largely adopted the -ction spelling, making connexion feel dated or deliberately old-fashioned.
