conga line
Hands-on-hips procession
A conga line is a parade-like dance where participants form a single file, each person holding the hips or shoulders of the one ahead, moving in sync with a distinctive kick step.
The formation snakes through a space, often picking up new dancers along the way: The wedding reception devolved into a conga line through the ballroom.
Figuratively, any queue or procession moving in lockstep.
