committee room
Panel's deliberation space
A committee room is a designated space where committees meet to conduct their business, typically found in legislative buildings, corporate offices, universities, and other institutions.
These rooms are usually equipped with a large central table, seating arranged to facilitate discussion, and often recording or presentation equipment.
In parliamentary contexts, committee rooms are where much of the detailed legislative work occurs, from hearings to markup sessions.
The witnesses waited nervously outside the committee room before being called to testify.
